The Trees below start with Phyllis Margaret Speeden, My Paternal Grandmother.  As you scroll down, the trees will branch off from where this first one leaves off starting with Robert Speeden, then Allison Knowles, etc.  Although the trees below have quite a bit of information, it's not everything.  The program I used to share these was somewhat limited to what it showed.  You can see the complete tree with all the sources at Ancestry.com, but you must log in to see it. William Duncan Knowles

You will see that this William and the Allison above have the same ancestors.  I spent a lot of time looking into this and have come to the conclusion that they were siblings.  Therefore, it would seem that Andrew John Speeden and Jane Isabella Knowles must have been cousins.  It is my understanding that this was quite common in those days.
